The Janissaries of the Monetary System, better known as GooTooHuPooSoo is a polyphonic ensemble of the electroacoustic type. Although there are unsubstantiated testimonies of previous episodic collaborations between the members of the band dating back to the time of the crash of 1929, they played for the first time – verified this time – in 2015 in Corfu, Greece. Their melodies – where such a thing exists – are inspired by the traditions of the Greek countryside of the mountains and the plains and of course by international financial indicators. GooTooHuPooSoo are Andreas Mniestris (saxophone), Philippos Theocharidis (electronics) and Yorgos Stavridis (drums).
